Equestrian Canada’s Role in Regards to Canadian Eventing Rules

Equestrian Canada is responsible for setting the standards for safety, horse welfare, ethics, code of conduct and fair play.  The EC Rules that apply to Eventing are published in Section D.

Section D is comprised of 5 Chapters, 9 Annexes and a Preamble.  Annex 1 on Page 60 Outlines the Specifications for Levels of Horse Trials.  This includes the addition of the EV105 Division which will be detailed in the next Blog post.  Revisions have been made to the cross-country obstacles for Pre-Training and Training Divisions.  To develop a strong training program, coaches and riders should review this Annex to ensure a complete understanding of the requirements of each level and set reasonable goals.
